Ratings Guide

Scooby Doo (1 Star)
Date: November 16th, 2002  Where:  My House

It was a rental night for the Besl family and my mom
thought she would rent what was supposedly a good
movie this was definitely not true.  THIS MOVIE
SUCKS.  I don't even know where to begin and to
be quite honest I don't even want to.  hahaha.  This
movie is a waste of time, so just avoid it.

Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers (4 1/2 Stars)
Date: December 20th, 2002  Where: Springdale Cinemas

Opening night, the crowd was diverse, the air excited, and
the popcorn... well typical buttered popcorn mess.  I went
with Jt, his younger brother JOrdan, and Cooper.  It proved
to hopefully be a fun night.  This movie was quite good, a
bit disappointing though. :-(  The characters were just as
vibrant and rich as in the first movie.  But there were some that I
just hated!  Eowyn, umm.... ssomeone promised me that her
character would be really cool.  I SAW NO COOLNESS.  She
was a whiny little baby just going on and on about Aragorn.
WHEN DOES SHE GET COOL!?!?  I hated Frodo in this movie
because he didn't do anything, he had no part except to tally
after Gollum and be pushed around or saved by Sam.  Hopefully
he will have someting more in the final movie.  The last forty-five
minutes were teh highlight of the movie. The absolute highlight.
The final ending to the battle of Helm's Deep and the Ents attack
were truly the best parts.  I definitely recommend this movie!

Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (4 Stars)
Date: July 9th, 2003  Where: Springdale Cinemas

Once again, another opening night show.  I wasn't really sure what to make
of this film before I went to see it, I didn't really know if I would even like it.
Then Johnny Depp appeared on screen adn the rest of the movie seemed to
be like a breeze of fresh air in what is a dismal summer of movies.  JUST DISMAL.
The movie was excellent, JUST EXCELLENT.  The only problem I had with the whole
movie, and there wasn't much to complain about, lied in the ending.  Not to give away
anything about the plot, ending, etc., but I just felt like I wanted to see something
different.  Maybe it's just who I am, but I wanted to see Orlando Bloom TRULY
take the "destiny" that was his.  Plus for some strange reason throughout the entire movie
I was convinced that Orlando and Johnny (Will and Jack Sparrow) were brothers.
I don't know why, but I just did.  Anyway, GREAT MOVIE.  I HIGHLY recommend!!!
